The Cuyahoga County Board Of Elections Encourages Voters To Utilize The Secretary Of State’s Vote-By-Mail Ballot Application
(Cleveland) – The Ohio Secretary of State (SOS) is conducting a statewide Vote-by-Mail Ballot Application mailing for the November 5, 2024 Presidential General Election. The SOS has mailed an absentee ballot application to every registered voter in the state. The ballot applications are now arriving in mailboxes.
This is an official state government document that voters can utilize with confidence. “We want to make sure that voters know the SOS document is an official Vote-by-Mail Ballot Application and they should not hesitate to use it,” said Anthony Perlatti, the Director of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.
The appearance of the SOS Vote-by-Mail Ballot Application differs from those issued by the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. However, the required information collected on both styles of the application is the same.
The SOS will conduct a second Vote-by-Mail Ballot Application mailing following the October 7, 2024 voter registration deadline. The second mailing will reach first-time registered voters who are not part of the initial mailing that is now underway.
Vote-by-Mail Ballot Applications are also available on the CCBOE’s website: boe.cuyahogacounty.gov, by calling 216-443-VOTE (8683), and at all public libraries.
The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections will start mailing Vote-by-Mail ballots to voters on October 8, 2024, in accordance with Ohio Election Law. Vote-by-Mail Ballot Applications are verified by bipartisan teams at County Boards of Elections prior to mailing ballots to voters.
