Ballot Drop Box Information

The drop off box is a safe and convenient way to return Voter Registration cards, Vote-by-Mail Ballot Applications, and voted ballots. Avoid Election Day lines and waiting on mail, use the drop off box today!

Where: 2925 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland in the rear parking lot of the Board of Elections. Ohio Secretary of State Directive 2020-16, permits each Board of Elections to have one (1) drop off box per county.

When: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A bi-partisan team collects all Voter Registration Cards, Vote-by-Mail Ballot Applications, and voted ballots from the drop box periodically throughout the day.

Who: Voter Registration Cards and Vote-by-Mail Ballot Applications can be returned to the drop off box by the voter, family, friends, or community advocates.

Voted ballots can only be returned to the drop off box by the voter or a family member, including spouse, the father, mother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandfather, grandmother, brother, or sister of the whole or half blood, or the son, daughter, adopting parent, adopted child, stepparent, stepchild, uncle, aunt, nephew, or niece of the voter.

Don’t forget!

  • The deadline to register to vote for the November 2020 Presidential General Election is October 5th at 9:00 P.M.
  • The deadline to return your completed Vote-by-Mail Ballot Application is October 31st at 12:00 P.M.
  • The deadline to return your voted ballot to the Board of Elections is November 3rd at 7:30 P.M.
