Voter Deadline Approaching for the August 4, 2020 Special Election

(Cleveland) – The City of Maple Heights will hold a Special Election on August 4, 2020, to decide a municipal tax renewal issue.

Vote-by-Mail ballots must be postmarked on or before August 3, 2020. Ballots may also be hand-delivered to the Board of Elections before 7:30 p.m. on August 4, 2020. Ballots may be deposited in the secure Ballot Drop Box located at the Board of Elections parking lot 24 hours a day.

The Board is open for Early In-Person voting until August 3, 2020 on the following dates:

Weekdays, thru July 31:   8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 1:    8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, August 2:   1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Monday, August 3:   8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The Board of Elections is located at 2925 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44115.

The polls will be open for Election Day voting from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. “Voters need to know that poll workers will be wearing masks and face shields, all surfaces will be sanitized throughout the day and social distancing will be required,” said Anthony Perlatti, Director of the Board of Elections. “Voters should remember Ohio is currently under a requirement to wear masks in public places. Voters are encouraged to bring a face covering, but one will be made available if a voter forgets.”
