(Cleveland) - On October 6, 2020, the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections will begin mailing ballots to voters who have submitted Vote-by-Mail ballot applications. “This is going to be a big day as nearly 300,000 people in Cuyahoga County are waiting for their ballots and are ready to vote,” said Anthony Perlatti, Director of the Board of Elections. “I encourage voters to return their completed ballots as soon as possible to allow extra time for the Postal Service to deliver their ballots to the Board of Elections.”

Ballots may also be hand-delivered to the Board of Elections. A secure drop box is located in the parking lot behind the building at 2925 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio, and is accessible 24 hours a day.

Early In-Person voting at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections also begins on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Early voting hours are posted on the Board of Elections website, www.443VOTE.us.

During Early In-Person voting, the Board of Elections will be implementing health and safety measures to protect voters and election workers. Safety measures will include wearing masks and face shields, routinely cleaning all frequently touched surfaces, and practicing social distancing. Voters will be subject to a health screening upon entering the building. Please note that social distancing may extend the length of the line when voting.

The Voter Registration Deadline for the November 3, 2020 General Election is Monday, October 5 at 9:00 p.m. This deadline also applies to anyone who needs to update the name or address on their voter registration record. Registering to vote or updating a name/address for voting is easy. Voters can register online, print a form from the website and mail it in, or drop it off in person. Mailed registration forms must be postmarked by the deadline.
