There are Additional Hours of Absentee Ballot Collection Outside the Office of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections

Oct 15, 2021

(Cleveland) - The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections has approved expanding ballot drop off services for people who wish to hand deliver their ballots for the November 3, 2020 Presidential General Election.

Since the start of absentee voting and through October 13, 2020, the Board of Elections has collected close to 25,000 absentee ballots via the permanent drop box and the outside collection process. This is an average of 3,125 absentee ballots collected per day. The additional hours will help ease congestion at the Board of Elections building and make it more convenient for voters to return their ballots.

The two ballot collection sites are staffed by politically balanced teams of Board of Elections workers who are receiving ballots at:

  • The Board of Elections building at 2925 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland.
  • The Campus International School at 3100 Chester Avenue, Cleveland.

The drive thru ballot collection sites will be available at both locations on:

  • Saturday, October 17, 2020 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 18, 2020 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Board of Elections WILL NOT be open for Early In-Person Voting on Saturday, October 17, 2020 or Sunday, October 18, 2020.

At all other times the secure drop box in the parking lot behind the Board of Elections building at 2925 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland will be available for afterhours ballot drop offs.
