Vote-By-Mail and Early In-Person Voting Opens for the May 3, 2022 Primary Election

(Cleveland) – The May 3, 2022 Primary Election will decide the statewide, county, US Congressional and judicial candidates who will advance to the November 8, 2022 General Election. Voters will also decide ballot issues as well as candidates for Democratic County Central Committee members.

Ohio State House, State Senate and State Central Committee contests will NOT be on the ballot. There will be a Primary Election for Ohio State House, State Senate and State Central Committee on a date that has yet to be announced.

To participate in the May 3, 2022 Primary Election, voters should register or update their voter registration before Monday, April 4, 2022 at 9:00 p.m. Voters may register online or print a form from our website and mail it in, or drop it off in-person. Mailed registration forms must be postmarked on or before the April 4, 2022 deadline.

Vote-by-Mail and Early In-Person voting will begin on April 5, 2022 for the May 3, 2022 Primary Election. 

The Board of Elections is encouraging voters to take advantage of the convenience of voting from home by receiving a Vote-by-Mail ballot. Vote-by-Mail ballot applications are available online at www.443vote.us, by calling 216-443-VOTE (8683) or can be obtained at all public libraries.

Early In-Person voting is located at the Board of Elections, 2925 Euclid Avenue. Voting hours are listed below and can also be found at www.443vote.us.

Friday April 5th – April 22nd 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Weekdays* April 25th – April 29th 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday April 30th 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Sunday May 1st 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Monday May 2nd 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
* Weekdays are denoted as Monday through Friday
