August 8, 2023 Special Election Return Your Ballot Notice

Attention voters!

The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is reminding voters to return their voted ballots for the August 8, 2023 Special Election. Vote-by-Mail Ballots must be postmarked on or before August 7, 2023. Vote-by-Mail Ballots may be hand-delivered to the Board of Elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.

Vote-by-Mail Ballots will not be accepted at polling locations on Election Day. A secure ballot drop box is available in the rear parking lot of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections 24 hours a day.

Early In-Person Voting will continue until August 6th, 2023 at 5:00 pm. The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is located at 2925 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44115.

Early In-Person voting hours:

TuesdayAugust 1st7:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Weekdays*August 2nd-4th7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
SaturdayAugust 5th8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
SundayAugust 6th1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

*Weekdays are denoted as Wednesday through Friday.

Early In-Person Voting ends on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at 5:00 pm. There is no longer Early In-Person Voting

the day before the Election, August 7, 2023. 

Election Day Voting:

Polls open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Voters must provide photo identification to vote on Election Day. Acceptable forms of photo identification include an unexpired Ohio Driver’s License, State ID card, an interim ID form issued by the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, a U.S. passport or passport card, a U.S. military ID card, Ohio National Guard ID card, or U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs ID card that includes the Voter’s name and photograph.
