(Cleveland) – The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is inviting the Public and Media to a Public Test of the voting equipment that will be used to tabulate the results of the March 19, 2024 Presidential Primary Election.

This is an opportunity for the Public to get a behind the scenes look at how ballots are scanned and tabulated. Those in attendance will also receive a hands-on demonstration of paper ballot scanners by voting in a Mock Election.

“This event will illustrate the integrity of our processes and provide a learning experience for people who want to know more about election administration,” said Anthony Perlatti, Director of the Board of Elections. “This is a reminder that all of our operations are transparent and open to the public.”

This type of test is conducted before every election. To provide an extra measure of transparency, the Board of Elections is putting extra effort into inviting the Public and Media to attend.

The event will also include a tour of the Vote-by-Mail Ballot Application and Ballot Processing Center.
